The pop music series of programmes of the 2013 Hay Festival Budapest starts with the Minneapolis band Dark Dark Dark in Akvárium Klub on 17 May, Friday, 9:30 PM. On Saturday 9 PM Péter Závada, Márton Simon, István Pion and Mátyás Sirokai will be accompanied by Amoeba Band, and on Sunday 9:30 PM the Finnish band French Films will be introduced to the Hungarian audience.

Today I spent my third and final day at the Sziget Festival for this year. It was, unsurprisingly, a day of threes – third speech in Hungarian, policemen from three countries, three unexpected faces on Hungarian banknotes, and a meeting with three organisations. And Team GB remains third in the Olympic medals table. I am now passing the baton to three of the younger generation for the weekend.

Summer of 2012, the Hungarian House of Photography organized the first edition of its exhibition series titled Rarely seen photographs. The exhibited photos were selected from the collection of the Hungarian Museum of Photography of Kecskemet.
