Festival-goers can look forward to a host of new programmes and experiences this year. noting that the event is undergoing a long-term upgrade. During the break on Main Stage lectures and cultural performances that showcase the diversity of Sziget will be staged.

Innovations will include the Delta District, the "night-time district of Sziget", offering entertainment from dusk till dawn, and the Szoho, "an iconic, dynamic district with a focus on arts and a multicultural energy."

The entry area, "the iconic K bridge", will also receive "strong visual garb ... with huge, colourful birds flying among its pillars to the island of freedom..."

Another new venue, Paradox, will feature circus and dance performances, among others.

Márk Bóna, Sziget's booking manager, highlighted that the new "city district" created at the festival, Szoho, will welcome visitors with two venues:
The Buzz venue will host popular artists such as Last Train, and Ivan & The Parazol; while the dropYard venue will host hip-hop and rap concerts.

The newly developed North Field district in the northern part of Sziget is also home to the ever-renewable art venue, ArtGarden, as well as the Light Stage music venue, where Whitemary from Italy and Palffi from Austria perform, among others.

Impact Island will be located at the renovated reception area of Sziget, where TEDx Budapest will have its own location alongside civil organizations and XS-Land, while Sziget Beach at the northern tip of Sziget awaits visitors with special installations and pop-up performances.
