'The World Of Video And Media', Labor Gallery, Until 18 March
"Last week a retrospective historical review of two tv-series of Hungarian State Television: Videovilág and Mediamix opened in Képíró str., Budapest, in "Labor" Gallery. The exhibition is on view till 18 March, 2010, between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. on workdays.

Apart from recalling bits and pieces of one-time tv programmes, the exhibition aims to appraise the unique (forgotten or not yet discovered) values of fine-art video.

In favour of this objective an approximately 40 minutes tailored edition can be seen - pieces chosen with precious and precise care from the programmes made between 1988-2009.

In this programme there are some short insights into various artist's work such as:

Van Gogh tv (international artist group - Videóvilág, Osnabrück, 1988)
Nam June Paik (Videóvilág, 45. Venice Biennale, 1993)
Laurie Anderson (Médiamix, 1995)
Zbig Rybczynski (Médiamix, 1996)
Francesco Vezzoli (Médiamix, 2007, 52. Venice Biennale)
AES+F group (Russian artists): Last Riot (Médiamix, 2007, 52. Venice Biennale)
Bill Viola (Médiamix, 2007, 52. Venice Biennale)
