Would-Be Bank Robber Shoots Himself In Budapest
"A 29-year-old man attempted to shoot himself after he tried to rob an Erste Bank office in the 13th District on Friday afternoon.

The armed man was immediately stopped from entering the premises on Népfürdő utca by a security guard, who thought the man was behaving suspiciously. When the would-be robber took out a 9mm gun, the guard en-gaged in a struggle with him. His weapon was fired at least three times during the scuffle.

The guard managed to pin the attacker between the glass entry doors. When the gunman saw that he had no chance against the guard he attempted suicide by placing the gun under his chin and pulling the trigger.

He was taken to hospital in a serious con-dition. The guard suffered no injuries, nor did any of the four customers present."
