The passenger traffic is operating until 23 October but the contracts for next year’s schedule are being negotiated and final decisions are expected in a few weeks’ time.

Although the airport announced a decline in the number of passengers for the summer season from the 30,000 customers planned earlier to an estimated maximum of 25,000, the requests for the cargo airlines augmented significantly.

In the last two years FlyBalaton Airport was forced to close for the winter season but this year because of the increased traffic it is able to function with its whole capacity and with all its employees.
