LMP Referendum Drive Fails In Hungary
"LMP collected 160,000 signatures for its referendum initiative, falling short of the 200,000 required to force a referendum, MP Gábor Vágó announced on Monday. The gathering of 100,000 signatures is enough to compel Parliament to decide whether to call a referendum.

Vágó said Parliament has a “moral obligation which follows from the will of 160,000 people” to call a referendum.

Vágó delivered the signature sheets to the National Election Office and the National Election Commission by the 4 p.m. deadline.

The Commission is to verify the authenticity of the signatures within 45 days."
