The Hungarian government is launching a Ft 3 billion subsidy programme “First Job Guaranteed” from the employment fund NFA to help career starters to obtain work experience, state secretary Sándor Czomba announced. In Hungary some 220,000 persons under 25 have jobs and 86,000 are registered unemployed, among which 58,000 are career starters.

Employers hiring a career starter registered unemployed between September 1 and December 31, 2012 will receive the amount of the wage plus social contributions up to double the minimum wage, Czomba added.
