Budapest Transportation Center Paints Dark Blue Buses Light Blue

Although not one of the buses in question, those in Budapest will take on a similar color. Budapest Transportation Center (BKK) plans to replace all buses roaming the Gulash Capital’s streets will be impossible, considering the current measures taken by its leadership, according to the Urban and Suburban Transport Association “VEKE.”
The most recent misstep, VEKE President Lajos Dorner told ATV, is a questionable initiative to paint BKV buses light blue, each for a whopping HUF 600-800 thousand.
Dorner hoped the coloring craze will fail to pull through, similarly to a HUF 50 million study commissioned by the organization about a possible “traffic jam fee,” which was voted down at board meeting.
