Hungary To Do Well In Next EU Budget

Hungary will be the third largest beneficiary of the EU budget for 2014-20, under a European Commission proposal, an EU source told Népszabadsag last week. Hungarian sources have expressed fear that the country could lose nearly 30% of its cohesion subsidies under the new budget.
EU affairs state secretary Eniko Gyori said earlier that Hungary seeks an individual solution for its problems
An extraordinary EU summit on the 2014-20 budget will be held on November 22-23, with a view to finalising an agreement by the end of the year.
EU affairs ministers and state secretaries will meet in Brussels on Monday.
