Bajnai, Milla, Solidarity Sign Pact In Hungary
Former prime minister Gordon Bajnai, Milla president Péter Juhász and Solidarity Movement leader Péter Kónya signed a co-operation agreement on Friday to prepare a ”change of regime and era” in 2014. “Hungary is ripe for a change in its political era,” Bajnai told reporters as he signed the pact.

Kónya said the three NGOs completely complement one other and could form a strong base.

Other organisations could join the Together 2014 alliance, while individuals and politicians could take on various roles in the signatory organisations, Juhász added.

Socialist Party president Attila Mesterházy told M1’s “Ma reggel” Friday morning that the new initiative will be successful if it can bring new voters into the opposition camp, “supplementing the 1.3 million Socialist Party supporters”.

LMP has ambivalent feelings about Together 2014, and MP András Schiffer has firmly declared that no co-operation is possible with Bajnai.

However, caucus leader Benedek Jávor called for the creation of a centrist force that can reach beyond camps and address undecided voters.
