Flashmob Outside Human Resources Ministry In Hungary
Some 25-30 people camped outside the entrance to the Human Resources Ministry shortly before 8 a.m. Tuesday morning. Ten participants pulled black nylon coverings over themselves, reminiscent of sacks in which human bodies are laid, and then lay down on cartons on the pavement. A symbolic farewell was bidden to them and a flower was placed on them.

The group, A Város Mindenkié (The City Belongs To All), was protesting to minister Zoltán Balog and social affairs state secretary Miklós Soltész on what it called the overdue financing of homeless care.

The demonstrators later handed over a petition formulating three demands at the ministry. They are calling for a National Homeless Affairs Professional Council to be convened within 72 hours, funds necessary for winter crisis services to be made available for homeless care organisations, and that the ministry fund homeless services at least one month before the start of the crisis period.
