Xpat Report: Vienna Economic Forum 2012 With CEE Prime Ministers
EuCham participated in the Vienna Economic Forum 2012, focused on South-East Europe and gathering top business and government officials from 35 countries. The final Ministerial Session, led by the Federal Chancellor of Austria Mr Werner Faymann, hosted the Prime Minister of Montenegro Mr Igor Luksic and the Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo Ms Mimoza Kusari-Lila.

Mr Michele Orzan of EuCham CEE made an intervention regarding the great opportunities that small and young states enjoy in defining their attractiveness for business and their social and political assets. Just like in business, where young, agile and determined entrepreneurs can create global-scale winning enterprises which can easily beat corporate giants, young states can surprise the whole world by being more innovative, advanced and forward-thinking.

Mr Orzan urged the heads of the governments to think big and work hard for the top positions in the world rankings, without settling for just good results. Both the Prime Minister of Montenegro and the Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo welcomed EuCham suggestions that young states should dare to think revolutionary more and better than bigger and older economies already bound by many ties.
