The State Institute for the Blind in Budapest’s 14th District will be renovated this year at a cost of nearly Ft 1 billion, provided by a government subsidy. Work on the 1908 building, designed by architect Béla Lajta, begins in May and is scheduled to be completed in December.
The project will make everyday life easier for the 200 residents and over 100 outpatients whose vision is impaired, said Human Resources Ministry social affairs state secretary Miklós Soltész.
