Cases Of Hepatitis A Rocket In Budapest
Hepatitis A is spreading in Budapest, and compared with previous years registered cases have risen ninefold, according to the national epidemiology centre (OEK). Hepatitis A is a liver disease caused by infection and can be mild, lasting a few weeks, or severe, lasting several months.

There were 182 registered cases of the disease in the capital last year, three times the national average. So far this year the number of cases has continued to rise, with 50 cases registered in January alone.

The infection spread among several communities, homeless shelters and orphanages.
