Hungary's PM Orbán Condemns Jobbik’s “Racism”
Prime Minister Viktor Orbán condemned Jobbik’s stance on Roma as “racism” in a response to one of the far-right party’s MPs in Parliament on Monday. He made the comment after Jobbik spokeswoman Dóra Duró said Roma families have grown accustomed to raising children merely as a source of income and have begun to live on crime and aid.

In reply Orbán said it is unequivocally the most anti-Roma remark to claim that Gypsy people are prepared to raise children to receive money.

“This is pure racism, I am not saying that this does not happen, nor that it would not happen with Roma, but that is such an un-Christian attitude, that we as a Christian party do not know what to do with, let me tell you frankly,” he said.
