Budapest Stock Exchange Turnover Churns Lower In April
Turnover on the Budapest Stock Exchange was 10% lower in April than in March, the bourse announced yesterday. Turnover fell to Ft 168 billion for April, from Ft 188 billion in the same month of 2012, a daily average of Ft 8 billion.

The average transaction size was Ft 1.5-1.6 million, half of what it used to be.

Trading volume has been shrinking since 2007, when monthly turnover often exceeded Ft 500 billion.

Among brokerages, Concorde was the busiest with turnover of Ft 61 billion, giving it 18% of the market, followed by Erste at Ft 40 billion and Equilor at Ft 39.9 billion, both with a 12% market share.
