Wizz Air Celebrates 9th Anniversary
Wizz Air, the largest low-fare, low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe celebrates its 9th anniversary with a large seat sale. The strong passenger and tourism growth achieved in its home markets Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Lithuania, Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Serbia and Ukraine is complemented by a growing reach to more destinations as Wizz Air is now operating to 33 countries, including Azerbaijan, Georgia, Israel and the UAE. The airline is celebrating its successful 9 year history with a large seat sale offering 9 million seats discounted by 20% for bookings made until midnight Sunday, 19 May.

Passengers can book these discounted seats on wizzair.com.

József Váradi, Chief Executive Officer of Wizz Air, said: “For now 9 years Wizz Air is delivering on its promise to bring low airfares to Central and Eastern Europe and beyond. Our brand is recognized throughout Europe as a reliable low cost carrier that delivers friendly and efficient services based on the highest standards of professional craftsmanship and a large, new Airbus A320 aircraft fleet.

Our “Go East” initiative is taking our low fares concept even further and connects Europe with a growing number of markets that had no access to low cost air travel before Wizz Air’s arrival. As part of our commitment to provide the highest standards in staff training we just opened our state-of-the-art Flight Simulator and Crew Training Center in Budapest which will facilitate advanced trainings for our international crew. We have also ensured that all new aircraft delivered by Airbus to Wizz Air’s growing fleet are supplied with eco-friendly, fuel-saving sharklets that improve performance and reduce CO2 emissions.

These are many reasons to celebrate, and we wish to thank our passengers with our fantastic seat sale, by releasing 9 million discounted seats for bookings on wizzair.com until midnight Sunday. By snapping up one of these 9 million seats you are celebrating our 9th anniversary with us.”
