he Foundation began mural painting projects where volunteers of supportive companies and the SHF are painting the children’s wards of hospitals in Hungary. It has conducted 14 mural projects thus far. Painting murals in the children’s wards of hospitals is a worthy project and studies have shown that improving the atmosphere in which sick children are examined and confined does have a positive effect on their well-being and speed of recovery. Happier surroundings help to lessen the anxiety and stress children experience in hospital.

Last year the Smiling Hospital Foundation was awarded a grant from the Swiss Contribution Office, which helped to realize children’s themed murals painted in Budapest’s Szent László Hospital children’s oncology wards, children’s examination and treatment rooms and the Démétér House on the hospital campus.

Poster9To close this program the Foundation is pleased to announce a Charity Auction and Exhibition. You can bid on 70 X 100 cm sketches, which were painted by Hungarian artists attending the workshop. So you not only support the Foundation, but take home a piece of the happiness and love that went into this project . The minimum amount that may be offered is 15 thousand Forints.

You can choose from 18 sketches at our silent auction. Please indicate your interest in advance to the organizer of the exhibition.

From 26th June (Wednesday) to 30th June (Sunday): free to visit the exhibition (3 p.m.-8 p.m.)

28th June, Friday: the artists (face painters, magician) of the Foundation are waiting for the attendees with children programs from 5 p.m.
