Analogue TV Broadcasts Ending In Hungary
Analogue television broadcasts will be permanently switched off in 14 counties in central Hungary at 12.30 today, Magyar Hírlap reports. The broadcasts will cease throughout the whole country from November 1, to be replaced by digital services.

Needy people may apply for subsidies for the digital transition, National Media and Communications Authority spokesman Attila Zsuppán told reporters on Tuesday.

He said set-top boxes have been installed in 55,000 households to date.
