Hungary’s Prime Minister Holds Official Visit In India

Official programmes for the delegation will start on Thursday in New Delhi with wreath-laying at the memorial to Mahatma Gandhi, after which the Prime Minister will provide a lecture entitled ’Hungary and Europe in a Changing World’ in an Indian foreign policy institute. Viktor Orbán will next meet with Shri Pranab Mukherjee, India's president, and address a Hungary-India business forum in the afternoon.
On Thursday, the Prime MInister will also exhange views with Sonia Ghandi, the chair of the United Progressive Alliance governing coalition, as well as Mohammad Hamid Ansari, the Vice President of India. In the evening he will hold talks with Manmohan Singh, his Indian counterpart and attend the signing of bilateral cooperation agreements in R+D, medicine, culture, sports and aviation.
On Friday morning the delegation will visit the Mumbai stock exchange, where the Prime Minister is scheduled to open trading. They will next meet Indian bankers and Orbán will address afterwards a Hungary-India business forum. The Hungarian delegation will then visit the headquarters of Tata Consultancy and inaugurate a Hungarian consulate general in Mumbai.
