Hungarian Town Győr To Restore Radnóti Statue
The town of Gyõr will pay for a replica of the statue of the poet Miklós Radnóti, to be completed by November 9, 2014, the 70th anniversary of his death, mayor Zsolt Borkai told reporters on Wednesday.

The granite statue between Gyõr and Abda by sculptor Miklós Melocco, erected in 1980, broke in two when it was knocked down by a car on November 17.

The statue was erected near where the poet and other Jewish prisoners were shot dead during a forced march.
