Fidesz Support Rises In Hungary To 31% In Dec
The governing Fidesz party increased its support among the whole voter population to 31% in December from 30% in November, according to a poll by Századvég. Support for the main opposition Socialists stayed level at 15% in December.

The radical nationalist Jobbik party raised its voter base to 8% from 7%. The opposition E14-PM party and the leftist opposition Democratic Coalition (DK) had 4% support each. The small opposition LMP party and the newly-formed Liberal Party garnered 2% support, respectively, among the whole sample.

Among decided voters, Fidesz was well ahead of the Socialists, with 52% to 23%, while Jobbik had 13% support in this group. The opposition E14-PM party and DK had 4% each in the group, too, while LMP had 2% and the Liberals 1%. The poll was taken on December 16-19.
