Hungarian President Sets Date Of Ep Election For May 25
Hungarian President János Áder set the date of the European Parliamentary election for May 25. This is the third occasion Hungarians will decide on their parliamentary deputies in the European Parliament.

Áder noted that Hungary had tendered its accession request twenty years ago and the country had become a fellow member of the family of European democracies in 2004. Hungary will send 21 deputies to the 751-member legislative body in Brussels.

However, along with 11 other member states, Hungary will give up one place to accommodate deputies of the newly-joined Croatia.
