Budapest can host the next European round of Bocuse d’Or, the world’s most prestigious gastronomy competition, in 2016, it was announced in Stockholm at this year’s round on Thursday. Bocuse d’Or was launched 20 years ago and is held biannually on the continent and every second year globally.

The possibility of hosting the 2016 competition is of huge significance and gives Hungary an outstanding PR chance, István Komoróczki, the economy ministry’s state secretary, told MTI.
