Hungary’s Socialist Official Accused Of Skin Head Past Resigns
Zsolt Molnár, leader of the opposition Socialist Party’s Budapest organisation, announced his resignation from the post on commercial channel ATV on Thursday evening. Molnár said he had decided to step down in the wake of “ignoble attacks” based on allegations that he participated in skinhead protests over 20 years ago.

Earlier, Magyar Nemzet online published a photo of Molnár appearing at a 1992 demonstration of radical youth.

In a statement sent to MTI at the time, Molnár categorically denied ever having been a skinhead or member of an extremist organisation.
