Industrial Growth In Hungary Gains Pace In April

Industrial output was up 10.1% year-on-year in April, according to adjusted and unadjusted data from the Central Statistics Office. The monthly data showed a 2.4% increase.
As in previous months, growth was driven mainly by soaring output in the automotive industry, up 21.6%, more particularly by the manufacture of passenger cars, which was 33% higher.
Of the 13 sub-sectors, 12 registered growth. Output in the electronics industry expanded for the second straight month, up 7.8%, after a 1.6% rise in March.
