Audi Plant In Hungary To Add Third Shift
German carmaker Audi will add a third shift at its plant in Hungary to meet high demand for premium models, Audi Hungaria Motor said on Tuesday. The shift will be added from the middle of August, the unit said.

Audi’s new plant at its base in Győr (NW Hungary) will operate at full capacity with the introduction of the third-generation Audi TT model, said managing director for vehicle production Gerd Walker.

Preparations are in full swing for the launch of serial production of the new coupe, he added. The entire production of the Audi TT and TTS models will take place in Győr. The new plant can turn out 160,000 vehicles a year.
