"What Would You Do If We Lived During These Times? - Join us for a free screening and discussion of the award-winning film Bent, starring Clive Owen, Ian McKellen, and Mick Jagger. Set during the horrors of Nazi Germany, the film tells the story of homosexuals persecuted for who they are.
It’s a part of history we have not discussed openly in Hungary, and we would like to introduce the start of research into this matter. In the national archives we see that about 300 people were deported from Hungary to Nazi death camps because they were homosexual. Who were these people, what were their stories? What may this research tell us about Hungary’s history, and its present?Wednesday 2 July,
