There are less and less people in the world who have never made a smartphone-based portrait or “selfie” about themselves. Some people even enter selfie contests with their photos. In response to this trend, Huawei not only increased the sensitivity of the camera of its new premium handset but also added a wide-angle lens to it. Using this feature, four or five people can take a photo of themselves to create a group selfie or “groufie”.

Special effects are also available to enhance the portrait and conceal skin flaws, whiten teeth, enlarge eyes or even narrow your face. The rear side of the camera includes 13MP high-brightness optics. Pushing the volume button twice, users can take photos in as short as one second even in sleeping mode to capture memorable moments.

Huawei Ascend P7 is one of the lightest premium smartphones currently available. Its width of only 6.5 millimetres is combined with a weight of 124 grams and an elegant design. Its Full HD screen offers a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and it features IPS technology for perfect brightness and viewing angle. Its smart backlighting function adjusts brightness to ambient light gradually, in a way hardly noticeable to users.

The handset makes users’ lives easier with a special phone management app. This app enables users to list and delete apps frozen in the background as well as unnecessary items accumulated by the software. This model also has a harassment filter to block specific calls and messages. The “do not disturb” function protects users against incoming events in any user-defined time interval.

The Chinese vendor added the latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS, a proprietary four-core 1.8 GHz processor and 2GB RAM memory to its new handset. The P7 uses a 2,500 mAh battery.
