My girlfriend and I have been going to Menza for about three years now. And it has never let us down. Winter, spring, summer, or autumn…the food, the service, and the atmosphere have always been special. Located in Liszt Ferenc tér, it is spacious without being sparse, intimate without being too cozy.
The food is a mix of traditional and contemporary-style Hungarian, with some added “international” dishes and fabulous deserts. Our personal favourites are beefsteak with roasted onions and salmon with baked potatoes, spinach and hollandaise sauce. The menu is updated weekly and is not too pricey for such a top location.
Every time we have friends in town, we take them to Menza. It is not by chance that it is always full and having tried all the restaurants in the square (there are some very good ones), Menza is still our favourite.
