Number Of Conferences Held In Hungary Climbs 11%

The number of conferences held in Hungary climbed 10.7% to 1,197 in the first half of this year from a year earlier, state tourism agency Magyar Turizmus said in its newsletter on Wednesday. The number included 476 international and 721 domestic conferences.
Almost 190,000 people participated in the conferences.
The international conferences had an average of 166 participants and the Hungarian conferences had 151 participants.
A total of 72% of the events were held Budapest, with more than 80% of the international conferences held in the capital.
