Stats Office: Hungary Population Decline Slows In Jan-Oct

Hungary’s population decline slowed with more births and fewer deaths in the first ten months of the year compared with the same period in 2013, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said.
The number of births went up by an annual 2.7% to 76,048 in January- October and deaths dropped by 1.9% to 103,409 during the period, KSH said.
The pace of Hungary’s natural population decline slowed from 0.38% to 0.33% in January-October compared with the same period in 2013, KSH said. The number of marriages went up by an annual 3.7% to 34,758 during the period.
