Trams Tested On Rákóczi Bridge In Budapest

The Budapest Public Transport Centre began testing trams on the Rákóczi Bridge yesterday along the tracks recently extended from Pest towards Buda.
The new tracks and the bridge were tested with a Tatra, a Combino and a motor-driven indoor freight carriage from Közvágóhíd to Budafoki út and back.
The extension of the tram line to Buda has been on the agenda since the bridge opened in 1995.
