Wine Tasting With Gilvesy Cellars, Brody Studios Budapest 11 March
Robert Gilvesy was born to Hungarian parents who travelled from Szatmár County to Canada to join the Hungarian diaspora looking for international opportunities and adventures. He grew up on a Canadian farm and developed an inner resonance with the land and soil. He was trained as an architect and after a successful career in business, he rediscovered his passion to work on the land.

Robert learned about making wines in Austria and furthered his interest by travelling extensively. With Márton Ruppert, a young talented Hungarian winemaker, he delivers an international air in his approach to winemaking, while cherishing the heritage of Hungarian and international varietals on the ancient volcanic slopes of Szent György-mount.

Zoltán Hammer, the executive chef of the Brody House Group is no stranger to fine food. He was instrumental in setting up The Fisherman's Bastion Restaurant (Halászbástya Étterem) in 2010 and he ran their kitchen for 4 years running. In 2014 Zoltan joined the Brody family as executive head chef and he is now busy preparing eclectic boutique style menus for members + guests.
