Csepreghy: EC Insists Selection Of Altus For Contract “Clean ”

The EC said the selection process had been open and in line with laws, he said. Cabinet chief János Lázár raised concern over the contract awarded to Altus, a company owned by Gyurcsány, and said in his letter to Deffaa that the Hungarian government awaited answers as to how Altus was selected to monitor Hungary’s EU development programmes for the 2014-2020 period.
Gyurcsány said earlier that Altus had won an assignment as the leader of a consortium composed of 11 international firms in an international open tender.
Prime Minister Viktor Orbán on Tuesday said EU funds had been awarded to a company disguised as a business contract which will clearly be used to finance political goals. Csepreghy said Lázár and Deffaa would meet to discuss the matter in June.
