Hungary’s President Warns Of Possible Climate Change Effects In Viniculture
President János Áder met vintners of the country’s major wine regions of Szekszárd and Villány, in southern Hungary. Speaking to reporters in Villány, Áder said it was important to prepare for the effects of climate change in domestic vineyards. A response in Hungary to climate change could be cultivating more resistant grape types that adapt to drought and developing the country’s irrigation system, he said.
