Founded by composer István Márta 25 years ago, the highly successful arts and crafts festival (named “Művészetek Völgye” in Hungarian) is a folklore venue spreading out over seven villages in the picturesque countryside north of Lake Balaton in western Hungary. Organisers promise an especially broad array of programmes this year to mark the twenty-fifth anniversary of the festival, which was attended by some 140 000 people last year.
