Hungarian State Secretary: Migration Crisis Europe’s "Invasion"
- 21 Jul 2015 9:00 AM
He said the European Union as a whole needed to take immediate action to resolve the crisis, adding, however, that Hungary’s decision to erect a border fence was necessary as “Brussels’s bureaucratic machine” has shown “no sign” of intervening.
Soltész said Europe was undergoing “Islamification”, adding that while Islam as a religion needs to be respected, European culture is primarily based on Judeo-Christian values.
He said the government values the work of civil organisations and has increased support for them by two billion forints (EUR 6.5m).
The state secretary said the government has disputes with only “two dozen” of the 60,000 NGOs in Hungary.
