Hungarian State Secretary: Migration Crisis Europe’s "Invasion"
Europe’s migration crisis is an "invasion" of the continent, the state secretary for church, ethnic and civil society relations told daily Napi Gazdaság. Miklós Soltész said the ongoing crisis was not about refugees, but was an issue of mass migration which could have “grave economic consequences” for the entire world.

He said the European Union as a whole needed to take immediate action to resolve the crisis, adding, however, that Hungary’s decision to erect a border fence was necessary as “Brussels’s bureaucratic machine” has shown “no sign” of intervening.

Soltész said Europe was undergoing “Islamification”, adding that while Islam as a religion needs to be respected, European culture is primarily based on Judeo-Christian values.

He said the government values the work of civil organisations and has increased support for them by two billion forints (EUR 6.5m).

The state secretary said the government has disputes with only “two dozen” of the 60,000 NGOs in Hungary.
