In 2015 the program series motivating the entire Hungarian design profession and attracting the wide public focuses on the world of homes. The central exhibition and satellite programs related to the HOME SWEET HOME slogan will aim at presenting how the social, cultural and technological developments of the past 10-20 years have affected our homes.

Traditional family models are changing, the function of home is altering, the technological revolution, but also new approaches to recreation, even environment consciousness and body health shape our everyday lives. All these changes have brought along the significant transformation of homes and living spaces that are of outstanding importance for furniture and interior designers, architects, as well as designers working in related fields.

Programs related to a different guest country each year proved to be very successful in the past few years; continuing this series, Budapest Design Week welcomes another outstanding country of the international design sphere, Spain as its guest of honour country.

Programs organised by Budapest Design Week will again take place: the central exhibition will explore the 2015 focus topic through international and Hungarian works and projects, the Open Studios and the participants of the Design Week Discount will again welcome the wide public, while Design Tours, as well as gastronomy programs will also take place.

Similarly to previous years, a star designer guest is again being invited, the most prestigious awards of the design profession (Hungarian Design Awards, Design Management Award) are also presented in the framework of the festival, while programs are again organised in countryside towns.

Home Sweet Home exhibition is open between 25th September and 15th November 2015 in the Museum of Applied Arts (1091 Budapest, Üllői av. 33-37.), open each day (except Monday) from 10:00 am till 6:00 pm.
