Presentation & discussion by Professor Yusaf Akbar (CEU Business School).<br> In a world in which people will seek to access rather than own goods and services (Spotify v. a music CD collection); when production and consumption boundaries are blurring (AirBnB, couchsurfing); when more and more people's lives are mediated through the Internet of Things (smart devices at home); where an increasing share of consumption is either available for free or close to zero cost where; traditional service entry barriers are being eroded by disruptive business models (Über) and we are a few years away from affordable and high function 3D printing technology, how should companies adapt?

- How will companies and entrepreneurs need to adapt to sell their products and services?
- What new strategies will need to be adopted?
- What are the new likely avenues for revenue generation?

Professor Yusaf Akbar’s is a full time professor at CEU Business

School, his main teaching interests are in Strategic Management and International Business. He has taught at Universities and Business schools all over the world including University of Michigan, Stockholm School of Economics, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Queen’s University, Canada; Central European University, Budapest; Thunderbird Europe; European Business School London, ISM Paris, University of Warsaw and University of Montenegro.

His main research interests are in international trade and investment, management development in Central and East Europe and non-market strategies of emerging market multinationals. Professor Akbar is also the Editor in Chief of the International Journal of Emerging Markets.
