Nearly 500,000 Hungarians Oppose Refugee Quota
The signature drive against the EU’s refugee quota is making good progress, Magyar Idõk writes, as the petition has been signed by nearly 500,000 people since November 4. Fidesz seeks to reach as many people as possible before the end of the year and will relay the result of the symbolic campaign to Brussels to support the government in its political struggle against the quotas and in EU court proceedings.

An unidentified man attacked a Fidesz signature collection booth on Batthyány tér in central Buda.

Local councillor András Vecsey told HírTV that the man acted as if he was about to sign the petition, but tore up the signature sheets.

Police are looking for the culprit.
