"The Advent wreath is the symbol of spiritual cleansing as well. Christmas is the families’ holiday, however the community and the city are also celebrating, putting on a festive decoration, preparing a festival for the visitors and tourists”, said Deputy Mayor Alexandra Szalay-Bobrovniczky.
As the deputy mayor added, awaiting the Advent often means more than our expectation, and provides us with the opportunity of review the passing year and think of the forthcoming one.
The Christmas fair in Városháza Park is already happening since November 21st, and the glass-house set up on the square is waiting for visitors as well.
Many preschoolers and school children groups are arriving here, just as students from Upper Hungary and Vojvodina regions.
Next to the giant Advent wreath there is an exhibition of Christmas trees decorated by preschoolers and students, and thanks to Főkert Nonprofit Plc., visitors will also see there the biggest Christmas tree in Budapest.
