Fidesz Councillor Suspected Of Murder
Roland Gál, a Fidesz member of Dunaújváros local council, is one of three persons suspected of the murder of a Dunaföldvár man who disappeared more than two years ago.

Local Fidesz leading officials would not make a statement, but, according to reports leaked from town hall, Gál is one of the suspects and another is one of his relatives.

The dead body of 41-year-old Antal Molnár was found in the home of Gál’s father-in-law, sources speaking on condition of anonymity claimed.

Police detained a third suspect at Budapest airport on Sunday.

Fidesz caucus leader Lajos Kósa announced in Lillafüred that Gál’s party membership has been suspended and that he will be expelled from the party if he is found guilty.

Gál has been elected local councillor three times since 2006, and has sat on the council’s public safety committee since 2014.
