Bomb Scare At Nyugati Tér

Police closed down a section of Teréz körút between Podmaniczky út and Váci út after a suitcase was left unattended near the entrance to the McDonald’s on Nyugati tér yesterday afternoon.
Police evacuated the restaurant and ordered the 4 and 6 trams to stop running after finding the package at 1.30 p.m.
According to reports, at least 20 police cars were in the neighbourhood.
Emergency Police bomb disposal experts examined the suitcase but found nothing dangerous in it.
Traffic was permitted to return to normal after the two-hour shutdown.
