Patyi said he had discussed training cooperation opportunities and joint research programmes and had signed a student exchange agreement with UNG President Bonita Jacobs. As a way of launching the exchange programme, NKE will immediately host two UNG cadets, and it has sent one of its researchers to Georgia, he said.
The researcher will be joined at UNG by two of NKE’s own cadets in August, Patyi added. During its visit to Marymount University, NKE’s delegation held talks on the details of a five-year cooperation agreement signed between the two universities in 2016.
Patyi noted that the agreement primarily covers forensic science, law enforcement and cybersecurity, adding that it also strengthens the two countries’ academic ties. The two institutions also agreed that Marymount University would organise a week-long intensive forensic science course at NKE in the autumn.
At Indiana University, Patyi discussed possibilities for future collaboration between their two universities. He said training cooperation opportunities would mainly concern NKE’s Faculty of International and European Studies and Faculty of Water Science.
George Washington University, he discussed opportunities for cooperation in the fields of international studies, public administration and state science. Patyi said all four universities were open to receiving young visiting researchers in the future.
