Mikkeller Tap Take-Over At Jónás Kézműves Sörház On 29 July
Just about the coolest craft brewery on the planet will be heading to Budapest this Saturday. Mikkeller, a Danish powerhouse, meets Jónás Sörház in a complete tap takeover that is sure to wow local expat beer drinkers.

All sixteen silver chromed taps will belong to Mikkeller for 10 hours only. I already have my table booked, my tulip washed and my National band t-shirt ready. Not only do Mikkeller make great beers they also host The Haven festival in Copenhagen and this years headlining act is my favorite band, The National.

So brew lovers keep your Saturday free and head over for some breath taking sights and world class beers. Here’s what I will be drinking:

Crooked Moon IPA
A collaboration brew that comes in at a whopping 9%, this one is probably not the best way to start your session but there will be no better ending.

Astley’s Northern Hop Lager
Amazingly this lager was created by non other than eighties one hit wonder (I was around at that time so you didn’t have to be), Rick Astley. You may not be able to place him but his brew is unforgettable.

Milk Stout
A sweet stout, that may not be quite the best out there (Evil Twin’s, Even More Jesus will never be beaten), however Mikkeller’s Milk is complex enough to have you returning for more.

Drink ‘ In Berliner Passion
I don’t always go for Weisse beer but this one is smooth, crisp and gets exactly to the point. Perfect for when you are watching boats sail by at The Balna.

SpontanLychee
I will be honest and say I have yet to try this yet, but my Danish friends (I have about three of those) have been raving about it for what seems like years. A wild and sour ale that supposedly rips at your taste buds and leaves a lasting impression. This will be beer number two for me on Saturday.
