Consumer Group Condemns Ryanair
Low-cost airline Ryanair failed to provide transport to the promised destination after its Madrid-Budapest flight landed in Bratislava last Wednesday night, due to bad weather, prompting outrage from consumer groups.

Passengers were promised a bus transfer to the Hungarian capital, but it never arrived.

Airlines have a duty to transport their passengers to their intended destination in all circumstances, consumer protection association Feosz announced on Friday. Neither bad weather nor technical malfunctions can justify any exception, Feosz underlined.

The insurer told the 150 passengers that travel insurance does not cover unwanted diversions caused by bad weather, HVG adds.

Feosz advises those affected to demand compensation, because they are certainly entitled to it.
