Hungary To Introduce GMO Free Labelling
Hungary’s farm ministry will introduce new labelling to mark Hungarian GMO-free produce, the ministry’s head said.

The label will indicate that produce is of premium quality and made with natural GMO-free ingredients, Sándor Fazekas told a press conference.

By introducing the label, the ministry aims to support the production of GMO-free Hungarian farm produce, the minister said, noting that Hungary was the first country in the world to enshrine GMO-free farming in its constitution.

Hungary is vocal in the EU on promoting GMO-free farming, he noted.
