Homes Evacuated In Zala County Due To Rain Storm
Some 300 people had to evacuate their homes in four municipalities in Zala county on Saturday, due to heavy rainfall and rising ground water.

Water washed away several roads and bridges in the county leaving one municipality sealed off from the outside world.

Disaster Control said county fire-fighters had to intervene in 89 locations by late Saturday evening, mostly in the southern part of Zala county, Nagykanizsa and its vicinity.

Fire-fighters were alerted in most cases to pump out water and remove felled trees.
