Major Traffic Disruptions Expected in Budapest Today Due to New Rally on Erzsébet Bridge
Another rally has been announced on the Erzsébet Bridge from 5 p.m. on Tuesday to 10 p.m. on Wednesday, so significant disruptions to traffic should be expected - the Budapest Police Headquarters (BRFK) announced on the police.hu website.

According to the announcement, based on the Act on the Right to Assembly, the Budapest Police Chief issued a prescriptive and restrictive resolution, according to which the assembly can be held on Erzsébet Bridge until 4 a.m. on Wednesday. The Curia kept the BRFK's resolution in effect.

They noted that the blocking of the Elizabeth Bridge during peak hours will still affect almost all traffic in the capital, so significant traffic congestion should be expected again from 4 p.m. on Tuesday.

Due to a march on the same day between 4 and 5 p.m. in Budapest's V and VIII districts, the Mikszáth Kálmán Square-Reviczky Street-Baross Street-Múzeum Boulevard-Astoria-Kossuth Lajos Street-Szabad Press Road route will be closed in sections.

Information with a map about the traffic restrictions introduced due to the rallies can be found on the police.hu website here.
